The program worked well for finding the process name and ID. I would have liked for the program to allow me to remotely kill a process though. I did use systernals pskill after Remote Process Viewer gave me the process name and ID I was looking for.
The following email to my computer guru reveals my frustration with this program, which I found totally undocumented and useless to me:----- Original Message ----- From: I B To: G BSent: Thursday, June 11, 2009 3:21 PMSubject: Remote Process Viewer- RemoteProcesses.exe-AND-%SystemRoot%\system32\mstsc.exeGBGoogled - free software to view Microsoft Windows system process not shown by Windows Task ManagerMany results, one free - Remote Process Viewer - downloaded & scanned for virus 1st.Ran it, got error message WMI error User credentials cannot be used for local connections. Googled error message. Hard to follow, but chat advice did not seem helpful. ...
Almost... I was only put off from this application by the password field being plain text, and in plain sight on the main interface.Otherwise, it looked promising.
needs to add a few things Hi, I'm very pleased with the product that you're offering, but I must say there are a few extra features I wish it had. Such as: ability to view processes in real-time, not just snapshots, memory usage, and % processor usage. I would also like the ability to change/end processes remotely (with the appropriate permissions, of course). Thank you very much!

Very good product, I\'ll consider using it in my business.
This tool you need if you have problem with converting MS Project 98 file into newer verison of MS Project like 2007.
All ok!No problem
Although nice, this viewer was unable to open files from MS Project v. 2.0 or earlier. Thanks, anyway. Marc
Only tested it for opening .mpp files. For this purpose the software serves very well, with a reasonable amout of flexibility on managing the gantt chart for getting the proper view.
A practical tool and easy to use. Good job!

unsuccessful in viewing document We had a file created with Microsoft Project 4.0/4.1/95/98 and we needed to gain access. The website advertised that your product would do that, it was unsuccessful.I'm sure it's a good product, but it didn't accomplish what we needed so we had to go another route.

I had an earlier copy of Help Explorer and was satisfied. Now I wanted a new copy for other system and downloaded 3.0 suposedly for several Linux versions including Red Hat, but could not install, the script asked for KDE specific folders (my systems are CENTOS Gnome). Did not pursue further the matter.
This worked fine for me I had some files writen in odt file and the down load was easy and installed its self with out any complications.John Allen
I searched for chm viewer Linux and found your program. All information I found indicated "free download" and stuff like that. After downloading and installing it said something about "trial version". So I spent ten minutes trying to find what that meant. When I found that the real version would cost me something like $50, I deleted the trial version before starting it the first time. kchmviewer does the job and is included in my OS.
I am intersted in getting a help explorer type program that will work with Ubuntu Linux, however when I follow the link to download the Linux version I am confronted with I believe to be a Russian page which I am unable to go further with the download....jrclat
HelpExplorer for Linux Do not display hlp file with cnt file associated :(Good for chm :)
Unpleasant surprise Hi,I've tried to install & run your viewer yesterday, but I was unpleasantly surprised - nothing happened (no window appeared or any STDOUT or STDERR message was shown), after I run it (why is the installation process asking for a PATH directory anyway? There is no much use for a PATH link, called "help" in BASH - it has it's own (preferred) program, called help already. As I have never seen this program running, I don't really feel competent to answer questions below.
